Puzzles
Dallin
The Boneyard
A new puzzle, built here, for a town with a lot of things buried in it. Five Dallin answers are hidden in a graveyard of letters. Dig them up, and the bones left standing have something to tell you. Play it right here or print it and work it with a pencil.
How to Play the Boneyard
- Solve the five clues. Every answer is a name or place from this issue of the Chronicle.
- Dig each answer out of the boneyard. It's buried in a straight line: across, down, or on the diagonal, and it may run backwards. Click each of its letters to cross them off (or cross them off on paper).
- Read the bones still standing. When all five answers are dug up, read the letters that are left, left to right and top to bottom, the way you'd read a page. They spell what the lights over Coyote Crossing have been trying to tell Dallin all month.
Every letter in the grid belongs to exactly one thing: one of the five answers, or the message. If a letter you crossed off turns out to be part of the message, click it again to put it back.
